This workout I came up with because I had clients coming in more times this week than normal because they are off due to the holiday. That’s right, my clients actually show up MORE because they can, not less. HAHAA! I attract crazy’s like me and I love it.
We recently went and got sandbags for my studio. I spent the weekend loading them up with sand and people were excited to start using them. When I say people i mean me. Just like a kid who gets a new toy we play with it until we lose a little interest in it.
Again, I digress.
This workout doesn’t have to be done with a sand bag. You can use a medicine ball, a dumbbell or basically any item that has a good weight to it that you can perform all of the lifts.
Here is the workout:
4 sets All exercises performed with a sandbag or single heavy item
1. Slash lunges to clean and press x 8
1b. Plank hand walk up and offs x 20 (up and down = 1)
Finisher 3 Rounds Minimal Rest
2. Zercher squats x 12
2b. Bent row x 8 each
2c. Front carry 60 ft to racked carry 60ft to overhead carry 120 feet x 1
